Alternative Futures and Popular Protest

Please share your memories

With the 30th anniversary of AFPP coming up in June (call for papers here), we’ll be reflecting on the past as well as thinking about the future. To aid in our reflections, we’d love to collect stories, testimonials or memories from your experiences of AFPP. Some prompts follow, but we’d be interested in anything that stands out to you – we’d love you to surprise us! Do you have stories of ….

  • New writing collaborations or research projects developed with people you’ve met at AFPP?
  • Have your political engagements or activism developed as a result of people you’ve met or things you’ve discovered at the conference?
  • Did you improve a publication on the basis of feedback at the conference?
  • Have you improved your confidence or particular skills as a result of conference participation?
  • Has coming to the conference changed your relationship with, or view of, the city of Manchester?
  • Are there any other ways in which AFPP has changed you and/or the world?

If you have anything at all to share – big or small – that reflects on your experiences of AFPP, please do so via this online form. (We’re using the form so that we can ask you what you’ll allow us to do with your reflections.)
